Examophobia!
Who has Liked exams?
From the very confusing and Infamous, mathematics to the sleepiness quotient,
History, I don’t know anyone who has liked exams! I, too hate exams. I expect
the same from you too! The fear of Examinations
or Examophobia as I call it is prevalent over almost every student in India, or
even worse, the world! The format of examination is very traumatizing. The way they exert pressure is very awful! I
know everybody has to go through this process
in their early ages.
That's the Title! |
First, for students who are doing their CBSE
exams coming 14 september, All the very best, for I am one of them. And, the
process of examinations is actually very difficult. Exams are just tests for
memorizing something and “Vomiting” the memorized thing, then forgetting about
it Immediately. For me, this is no challenge. The need of the hour is, that
students should actually understand. All they study for is “marks” and just
that.
Unlike most students, some
students do not do well . Everyone who don’t pass/do well in an exam should not
always be bad. Mahatma Gandhi did not pass any examination, Jawaharlal Nehru
did not write any examination, and sachin tendulkar didn’t pass 10th
grade![not most students, as the reason is stated above. Welcome!]
Where's your Test Paper? |
Even worse, many students have commited Suicide for not doing their
exams properly, or in the fear of getting humiliated by the public for not
scoring good marks. More than that, Good marks won’t do, only a hundred will
do. If you check every house in India, the Parents want their Daughter/Son to
score a centum in everything. First in
athletics, Studies , Competitions, Everything. Poor students cannot handle the pressure
and commit Suicide for fear of getting humiliated by THEIR own Parents! If
people are so fascinated by 100, why don’t you make your state’s voting
percentage 100%?
Scared? or Excited? I feel Both! |

P.S: Unfortunately, the need of marks is
still the key to opening many options for us. And my Best wishes to anyone who
is going to write an Exam soon, and I hope you don’t get an examophobia!
Well written about the exam fever from a student point of view.
